Honouring a Hero: The Farewell of Royal Navy Veteran & Freemason Arthur Easey
We recently had the privilege of conducting the funeral for Arthur Easey, affectionately known as Ralph to his friends, a distinguished Royal Navy veteran and devoted Mason. The service was a poignant tribute to his remarkable life and achievements.
The ceremony featured a bugler from the Royal Marines, a moving acknowledgement of Ralph’s naval service. His coffin was draped with a flag, symbolising his loyalty and dedication, and was carried by fellow veterans, honouring the bond of service they shared. The service was led by a Padre who is both an ex-Royal Navy officer and a Mason, adding a deeply personal and meaningful touch.
Ralph’s Order of Service was a heartfelt reflection of his life, including cherished images of his ship, evoking memories of his time at sea. It was a fitting farewell to a man who lived with honour, camaraderie, and commitment.
