Good service no problem

Our mother’s funeral was organised beautifully and professionally by Courtney and David. Everything went according to plan which meant we could concentrate solely on saying a final goodbye to our lovely Mum.

We used the Warlingham branch of Rowland brothers in June 2026 for our Mums funeral. From the moment we first called them after our Mums passing they were always so kind and helpful. Courtney made the whole funeral planning process very easy in what was a very difficult time. David and all his team at Rowland brothers helped give my Mum the best celebration of life at Botley hill farm with whom they have a partnership with, the location was perfect for our Mums day and everything went perfectly as did her cremation service at Beckenham crematorium a couple of days later. If you unfortunately need to use the services of a funeral directors I would highly recommend Warlingham Rowland Brothers

Rowland Brothers were very efficient, helpful and selected church, priest, flowers and coffin - all to satisfy our requirements. Overall we were very pleased with their service

The staff that we dealt with at both the Warlingham and Croydon branches, either on the phone or in person, were all amazing and extremely considerate. Rowlands Brothers provided the utmost care and support in dealing with or dear Dad’s final journey. We can neither thank nor recommend them enough.

We received the most excellent support, help and arrangements from Simon and Jan. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Simon came to our home initially and immediately put our minds at ease. He talked us through the process very clearly, explaining all the options to us. He helped to make the day a very special, memorable one. Both he and Jan helped with the photos for the service which were lovely to have on display on the day. We would also like to thank the celebrant Anita who also came to our home and wrote the most wonderful eulogy on our behalf. We cannot thank the team enough.

From my very first meeting with Charlee, I knew she was the right person to look after my husband, Chris, after he passed away. As a young widow, I was facing the most difficult time of my life, and Charlee showed such genuine compassion, kindness and understanding from the very beginning. She gently guided me through every step of the process, taking the time to really listen to what I wanted and making sure Chris was cared for exactly as I hoped. When he arrived at the chapel, the love, dignity and respect with which she looked after him meant more to me than I can ever put into words. She recommended the wonderful Fr. Sam who conducted the most wonderful service at the crematorium, he got the tone just right. And John the director on the day also showed great kindness and professionalism. I will always be so grateful to Charlee for everything she did for us. She made an incredibly painful experience so much easier to navigate, and I knew throughout that Chris was in the safest and most caring hands. I couldn't have wished for a more compassionate funeral director, and I will never forget her kindness.

When my mother died the care home told me that Rowland Bros was the designated funeral director & at such a distressing time I had no inclination to search any further. From the time I walked through their doors I felt Mum & I were in safe hands. They covered everything I needed to know about arranging a funeral, they accomodated my wishes even though I changed my mind a couple of times. Before the funeral I received a courtesy call to explain what would happen. On the day the service and their conduction of it was all I hoped for & more. We were treated kindly & with respect & I am so grateful. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rowland Bros.

We first approached Rowland Brothers in West Wickham just before my father died, as we wanted to be prepared. From the first contact with Tracy we knew we were in safe hands, they were so professional, well organised and kind. When the time came (in the middle of the night) two colleagues arrived promptly to collect my father and were respectful, efficient & compassionate. From start to finish, every member of the team we dealt with (including those behind the scenes we didn't meet) was extremely helpful & understanding of our needs. They helped us organise the funeral according to what we hoped for, and supported us throughout. They offered helpful suggestions without being pushy. It seemed nothing was too much trouble, and all our questions were answered with patience & understanding. I would like to make particular mention of the celebrant, Jill, who presided on the day and could not have been a better fit for us. Several funeral guests remarked on the warmth of the service and how my father was afforded the utmost care & respect at all stages of his final journey. Attention to detail and clear communication is superb, even down to a phone call the day before the funeral, to explain how everything was going to run. This was thoughtful and much appreciated as it removed a great deal of anxiety. In addition, as a mark of respect, on the day of the funeral they drove the hearse past my father's house. I was extremely touched by this gesture as I felt it was something special. We are so thankful to you all for everything you did for us at such a sad time for our family. I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Rowland Brothers.

David and his staff were first class the day my dad passed to the funeral. So much care and respect was shown. Incredibly empathetic, professional and warm, nothing was too much. If you are looking for a funeral director to look after a loved one then Rowland Brothers are in my opinion the company you should use. From the moment we met Tracy at Rowland Brothers, we felt completely at ease. Saying goodbye to a much-loved and deeply cherished person is an emotional and difficult time, but Tracy's kindness, warmth and reassurance made such a difference throughout the entire process. Tracy guided us through every step with compassion, patience and professionalism. Nothing ever felt rushed, and she always took the time to answer our questions and explain everything clearly. Her calm and caring manner gave us complete confidence from the very beginning. We had no hesitation whatsoever in entrusting our loved one into the care of Rowland Brothers, knowing they would be treated with the utmost dignity, respect and compassion. Throughout the process, we felt supported, listened to and genuinely cared for. Tracy made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel manageable, and her attention to detail helped ensure everything was arranged exactly as we wished. Very professional & a little 'Old School' which is what you want / expect from a Funeral Director. This was the 2nd occasion I had need of Rowland Brothers and they did not disappoint. Everything went to plan, on time & with dignity.

Made planning a funeral very easy for me and they were very caring not to overwhelm during the process. Used an excellent celebrant to conduct the ceremony. Although obviously a sad day, they helped me make it a special tribute.

Rowland Brothers Whitehorse Road arranged my husbands funeral , Sarah was amazing she took care of everything for me , my husband was collected from the hospital and taken into their care quickly , my daughters went to see him in their chapel and amazed with how he looked in their words “just like himself sleeping” . Sarah took care of the order of service and listened to our ideas and a wonderful tribute was put together, she also arranged for Heather a celebrant to come to talk to us to get a background of my husbands life and her eulogy was delivered as if she personally knew him , so profoundly grateful to Heather for a wonderful service , also a mention to the rest of the staff who attended to my husband on the day of the funeral and to the piper , Rowland Brothers did us proud we couldn’t have asked for a better send off and celebration of his life, thank you to you all cannot recommend enough.

Rowland Brothers recently carried out the funeral and arrangements for our lovely mum. They also did so for our dad 10 years ago. Everyone was so helpful and kind, There was always very good information and support . The arrangements were made easily and on the day the funeral went very well and exactly how we wanted it to. Help was there before and after and every query we had was dealt with helpfully and kindly. I can honestly really recommend them and would not hesitate to use their services again. We used the Purley Branch of Rowland Brothers for my mum's funeral - having previously used them for my dad's 2 years ago. Everything went without a hitch. Jan was always helpful with every stage of the process. And Simon in the office ensured we always felt comfortable when we popped in to see our mum at rest - whether with kind words or just an offer of tea and biscuits. My mum looked so peaceful for the 3 weeks she was in the Chapel of Rest. The day itself was beautiful - helped by a fantastic sunny day. We had a hearse and 4 limousines - and everything was smoothly choreographed. So thank you for such brilliant service

My father believed in nothing but perfection, and his funeral was. He would have been so proud and by how much Heather the celebrant had to say about his life. The funeral was perfect and as beautiful. Carly (funeral director), John PR (conductor on the day), Heather (celebrant) and the rest of the guys on the day and team in the office were all amazing!

The staff at Roland Brothers treated my Dad with the utmost respect, care and dignity right from when he passed away, through to the funeral planning to the actual burial. Kate supported us from the moment I walked into the West Wickham branch. From the very start, her focus was on how we were and on truly understanding our beloved Sonia. While Sonia was in Roland Brothers’ care, we felt completely reassured that she was being treated with dignity and respect. Kate kept us informed throughout, which meant so much during such a difficult time. On the day of the funeral, everything was handled beautifully and with great respect. The ceremony was thoughtful and loving in every detail, and the team accompanying Sonia were kind, attentive, and checked in with us throughout. They all went above and beyond, not forgetting Jess at Whitehorse Road who was amazing. My family and I used Rowland Brothers (Croydon) for a traditional funeral for our late Mum. The service we received was exceptional. Our Funeral Dirrctor , David was so attentive and professional. He went above and beyond to source a Mormon Bishop to conduct the church service for us. He responded to my emails and telephone calls immediately. So efficient. The day of the funeral was also so good. John, in charge of the hearst and Drivers was just the best. He kept me updated throughout and made sure everything went smoothly. And it did. As for my Driver, Phil, lovely bloke. Can't thank RowBros enough. Absolutely brilliant Company.

Yesterday I dotted the "i's" and crossed the "t's" on the Funeral Arrangements and Cremation of my late wife, Susan Foster. I could not let today pass without paying a massive compliment to your team, most especially Charlee at Plough Lane. My wife passed on 11th November and that evening I emailed Rowland Brothers and received a prompt response, very first thing on 12th regarding the collection of my wife from our house. That was just the start of an excellence of service by Charlee - your team arrived and dealt with my wife with care and sympathy and right through to today, your team has made this whole process much less stressful than it could have been. Whilst I know it was a team effort from beginning to end, the gentle and empathetic guiding hand of Charlee has been a revelation in customer care and service. I have expressed my thanks directly to her but please understand that Charlee is a star!

From the moment I contacted Rowland Brothers to ask them to arrange the funeral of my aunt I found them to be compassionate professional and patient. Nothing was too much bother for them. Both Jan and Simon in the Purley office were perfect communicators and handled the whole process of dealing with the crematorium, the florists and the vicar perfectly. I could not have wished for a better service for my aunt and would recommend Rowland Brothers to anybody requiring the services of a funeral director in the Purley area.

I cannot recommend Rowland Brothers highly enough. I should have left this review before now as my Mum passed away last December. From the moment I made the call to the office then had my first meeting with Sarah I just knew I was in the right place and knew my Mum would be treated with respect and dignity and her send of would be a special one and it was. I was able to help dress my Mum and style her hair. Before dressing she was washed and her hair washed - they even took the time to use a shampoo for afro hair. Just one of so many examples of how every aspect was dealt with sensitivity, care, empathy and professionalism and I will always be so grateful for this. What I received instead was silence, avoidance, and refusal to confirm even the most basic responsibility — the appointment of the Stonemason. Despite repeated polite and literate emails, including explicit requests for confirmation, Rowland Brothers Ltd failed to respond. Their silence created fracture in the process, left me exposed, and forced other parties to withdraw. This avoidance undermined the memorial project and caused unnecessary distress. A memorial is not a casual transaction — it is sacred authorship. Rowland Brothers Ltd did not honour that responsibility. Their failure to provide clarity or confirmation shows a lack of professionalism and respect. ⭐ A star has had to be placed merely to ensure that this review is posted, though no stars are applicable. The only star is my Mother, Toni — who has not received her authored memorial from her Daughter, known as Pina, who loves her always and forever, and who has spent over three years in her endeavours to ensure a memorial is crafted for her, my Mum, Toni. We received excellent care throughout the process of my mother’s death and funeral and I’m more than happy to recommend the team at Rowlands in West Wickham. We had wished to use their previous incarnation, Killicks as we did for my father in 2014 and were delighted to find that Peter’s son is still heavily involved in this team. We wanted the personal touch of a small family business rather than a large company and we definitely got this right up to support on the day, having decided to lead the funeral ourselves. Rowland Brothers provided us with an excellent and caring service from collecting the body, helping us through the process of organising the funeral and on the day of the funeral. We would highly recommend them if you are unfortunate enough to have a death in your family.

Poor Communication. As a family, we were not kept informed about the funeral planning process. Calls and queries were not returned. There appeared to be a lack of transparency about costs and services. Insensitive Behavior. The arranger was very pushy and aggressive when selling us services and products. Not any staff member showed empathy or compassion during our different time. We were asked to pay for unnecessary services and products. The Funeral Director on the day was very pushy with time as if we were an inconvenience for him and his colleagues. Maybe he wanted to finish on time or early. The coffin was damaged. Unprofessional Conduct. Making mistakes with paperwork and obituaries. Not following through on commitments. Having a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. Questionable Business Practices. As a family, we felt exploited during our vulnerable time. We were charged excessive fees and hidden costs. We were not provided with a clear itemized breakdown of costs. The company tried to sell services we did not need or want. We were rushed into making decisions. The company were not being transparent about prices and practices. The staff were difficult to work with or unresponsive. At no point in time were we shown any care and sympathy during our difficult time. I am seriously considering contacting the Funeral Director's professional organisation. I am seriously considering reporting this company to Trading Standards because I believe they have broken the law. I am considering taking legal action. I will never ever use this firm ever again. There are plenty of choices in the Croydon area.

Visited my father this morning to say a final goodbye. It said that the room he was in was within the quiet area. It was anything but that. We used Rowland Brothers for the funeral of my dad earlier in the month. Most of the contact was done by sister. Who said they were excellent. My dad had a final request, that his last journey was in a Bentley. Rowland Brothers didn’t have this car, but they searched around and kindly found one in Shropshire to grant my dad’s final journey. They arrived on time, the cars and team were immaculate. They allowed us to touch the coffin and check everything was ok. The cars were very comfortable and they took a route and stopped out side my parents 47 years. Would fully recommend them at a time of sorrow

I approached Rowland Brothers for my father's funeral having previously dealt with Adam and his father for a previous funeral for my aunt which was handled perfectly and sympathetically several years ago. I found Tracy and Adam at the West Wickham branch were (again in Adam's case) perfect in judging the needs of the occasion, did not overcomplicate things at any point, suggested the right cost options for my budget and acted in a very professional and friendly manner throughout even though the final outcome of time options was not what I could actually sadly use. Tracy has great expertise in this field and hence dealt with me to smooth over any issues including providing great after service with advice on how to deal with probate in what is always a stressful time. It is the kindness and family orientated business approach which shone through when arranging my aunt's funeral and the same qualities came through from them with my father making Rowland Brothers a firm I would not hesitate to recommend to others in our area.

I phoned them to see ifI could deliver a wreath and they said they would take it and recommended a local florist, who were also fantastic. I phoned their parlour in Croydon to see if they had received the wreath sent, and the perosn I spoke to on the phone kindly went to check, and verified it had been received. Very impressed by their helpful attitude in every area.

The funeral service was professional, considerate & very well arranged. The arrangements prior to the funeral day were well organised & competent and it was a pleasure dealing with Janet at the Purley branch.

I originally left a two star review for this organisation based on the fact they made a number of very basic, serious errors (for example - wrong death of death on coffin, wrong cause of death information given to coroner and various other issues which left me with very little confidence in them). Following a meeting with them I am satisfied they have taken my concerns seriously and put in place training and procedures to ensure no other customer suffers the same problems. I have therefore amended my review and rating a little to reflect this.

Rowland Brothers West Wickham cared for my Mum and us as a family from the moment they collected her from our house in the middle of the night until the end of her funeral service and they had brought us home . Excellent service following the death of our mother. Rowlands provided support from the outset, advising us through all aspects of the funeral process. Dear Tracey I think it takes a special person who was able when you met the three of us for the first time we probably looked like rabbits in headlights (we were trying to process the sudden death of the mum and start to try to organise a funeral we luckily haven’t done before) to sit us down calmly sensitively and honestly starting to plan mum’s funeral and explaining the process even without a death certificate. The person that goes that extra mile by contacting the coroner’s office as we hadn’t heard from him if or not a postmortem had been done; even being on the phone to them for over 40 minutes on hold. Being flexible to see us when we were in West Wickham, and we popped in. Making sure we were okay, keeping us on track and reminding me for items I had forgot to give you, like the music for the crematorium. Finding the best version of one of the songs we forgot to put the artist we wanted to play at the crematorium. When there are so many different areas of the funeral we were organising and liaising with different people, having you arranging the funeral meant it was one less thing to worry about. Wow! Rowland brothers. I’m actually lost for words because your service is impeccable. Grief is so hard to navigate and despite still feeling sadness, one thing that has brought so much relief and peace is the service we have received from you. On 5/03/2025 I laid my dad to rest and Rowland Brothers from start to finish were so considerate and helpful. We had some financial difficulties and they did what they could to ensure my father still got the burial he deserved. There really are no words to express the gratitude we feel to Rowland Brothers in particular David Webb who worked with us for weeks to arrange my dad’s funeral, the nicest most kindest man I’ve met. The orders of service were just as we’d hoped and even when we would visit dad at the funeral directors he was placed in the most beautiful chapel. The moment we booked the appointment all the way through to the end of the funeral, the staff were professional and caring. We had used Rowland brothers ten years previously for my Dads funeral and I’m pleased to say that their standards remain as high as ever. After my mother's recent death, Rowlands transported her body from her flat to their premises, and worked with me to arrange and conduct her funeral. All involved acted with thoughtfulness, care and sensitivity at all stages. The team who transported my mother's body clearly and helpfully explained in advance what would be involved, made sure I was happy with that before doing anything, checked the situation in my mother's flat before starting work, and ensured everything in the flat was left neat and in good order when they departed. They showed great sensitivity and patience when some people arrived part-way through, wanting to pay their last respects, giving them time and privacy to do so. All this took the stress out of this inevitably emotional occasion, and both I and others present were struck by the dignity and respect with which it was all done. The funeral arranger and the team on the day of the funeral also showed professionalism, understanding and helpfulness throughout, both in person and in correspondence. They explained everything carefully, always made sure we understood what options there were, asked what we wanted without any pressure to choose one course over another, and ensured we knew exactly what would happen and when, and the team at the funeral were dignified and caring. This all made both the funeral and the period before and after it, as easy to cope with as possible. I am happy to recommend Rowlands to others.

Rowland Brothers recently helped arrange and direct two of my family's loved ones funerals and memorial services. From start to finish, I found them extremely caring, sensitive and respectful. Absolutely first class service from Odette and the Rowland Brothers team for my mum's funeral, following a similar experience five years ago for my dad.

This relates to August 2022. They refused to release body to another funeral director till I had paid, among many other serious faults. The communication, especially from the "Senior International Co-ordinator" was poor, downright brusque and at times came across as rude, and I, the NoK and their customer, was only informed AFTER important decisions had been made. This included failing to inform me that embalming had not been done and booking the funeral date with the church without consulting me first. However, neither was I happy with communications from the more senior staff, at a very painful time. They completely supported and upheld the comments and actions of their Senior International Co-ordinator. When I decided enough was enough and I was switching to another funeral director, I was informed by Kris that they would only release my relative's body to the second funeral director (who was collecting my relative's body from their premises) once their invoice had been settled... NOT ONLY IS THIS IMMORAL, I HAVE SINCE LEARNED IT IS UNLAWFUL. Luckily, the second funeral director, Slater's International, couldn't have been more different and was respectful, courteous, empathetic and kept me informed all the way. I only wish I had instructed them from the start. Up until this point, my family had always used Rowland Brothers - never, ever again! ANSWERING ROWLAND BROTHERS' RESPONSE I simply UPDATED the review four days ago, after I just happened to discover it's unlawful for an undertaker to hold a body subject to fees, but I originally left the review around September 2023, a little over a year after the events referred to and was careful to make that clear from the start. I was getting over a major bereavement and was still traumatized, hence the delayed review originally. I also find it odd that RB did not respond when I first published the review.

1 star because you answered the phone after 11 minutes You claim to be open 24 hours not true I called your customer service to arrange a moment with my granddaughter and was informed that I would be able to see her the following day at 12.00 But I would have to wait for the directors to call me back to confirm I called your customer care team @ 4.00pm and 8.00pm asking why I have not received any call I was informed that the directors were on a jolly Next day I went to the funeral shop anything was locked up no one was a round I called your customer service who kept saying they are supporting us that is no longer a service I would use again you are not supporting any one except your own pocket On the door you claimed to open 8-5 then I am told it is actually 9- 4 What kind of business you are running Your staff need customers services training ASAP

When I die I would like Rowlands to handle my funeral and I’m not even local! Everything was done with the utmost care and understanding. Jan and Scott make the most wonderful team. Nothing was too much trouble, from being able to attend the chapel of rest out of hours to being able to sit in the hearse and even carry the coffin. To be offered such warmth at such a difficult time was a kindness I’ll not forget. Whilst I’ve luckily only had one other experience of funeral homes this surpassed my expectations from the moment I called to make enquiries. Jan was so helpful and even told me that should I decide to go elsewhere to just call her back if any advice was needed. You just don’t get customer service on that level these days. The chapel is restful and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating even down to introducing me to Scott who was to be in charge on the day of the funeral so that there was a feeling of continuity. Thank you both so very much.

Requested a finger print to be taken so I could purchase some personalised jewellery. However, sadly only half the finger print was taken, on-top of this - it took several weeks of chasing to obtain this. Mark was very apologetic however outcome still remains that I am without the full fingerprint which is now forever lost.

Thank you so much for your bereavement support sessions. My husband and I received fantastic support from Justine in individual and group counselling sessions. It really helped us cope after our son died. We are so grateful.

I lost my amazing husband suddenly and jan and the team at purley were amazing, they took great care of me and him and I was able to sit with him for the last two days before the funeral which was so important for me and they kept me going in tea. All my wishes for his funeral were carried out beautifully and the day although overwhelming with over 170 people on a very hot day he got the send off he would have been so proud of . Thanks again and I will be going in to collect his ashes and my ring in a week or so and catch up with the team .

Thank you to Nichola and all the staff at Rowlands, Whitehorse Road, who at all times were very sympathetic and did all they could to make the process of arranging the funeral and cremation and viewings for our dad as easy as possible. My Soulmate sadly passed away abroad in December 2021. Rowland Brothers Funeral Directors were appointed to handle the repatriation and funeral service here in London. All the staff involved were professional from beginning to end. Tracy Taylor showed empathy, care and compassion from beginning to end and produced a one of a kind funeral programme, which was tailored exactly how I wished it to be representing the person my soulmate was. The mortician Hannah did a fantastic job in dressing my soulmate. It was an emotionally overwhelming experience and Tracy and Hannah definitely helped to ease some of the pain still felt. I can't thank the staff enough for their support during what I can only describe as a very sad time for the entire family. The receptionist whose name has slipped my mind "sorry" always had a welcoming smile and made me laugh on several occasions lightning the heaviness I was feeling. The Pallbearers were excellent on the day of the funeral led by Scott who did a fantastic job. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart

I can’t thank Rowland Brothers, Croydon enough. They are a fabulous team from Anthea at reception, Carly our organiser and Neil the Forces adviser. They were really efficient and caring, which really helps when you have no idea of what to do. I must also mention the two guys that came at 2am to pick my Mum up and of course the team on the day, both were so kind and thoughtful. All of them are extremely professional and they had thought of everything to make it all go smoothly, even down to umbrellas. Neil had arranged a bugler to play the last post, a Union Jack and a pillow for her hat and medals, which my Mum would have loved as not only was she in the WAAFs, she died on Armistice day. They also found us a fabulous Celebrant called Julia Hill who gave a really uplifting recount of the 99 years and 10 months my Mum had been here, that everyone said after, she made them come out smiling. That was the type of funeral I was aiming for and this fabulous team helped us achieve it. Thank you all so much.

My Aunties ashes were delivered by hand by Steve very quickly after realising they were needed soon. Steve was very gentle and did this with great sensitivity and respect. A gentleman called Neil was very helpful on the phone and did all he could to help.

I couldn't of asked for a better service, very professional, open, honest and listened. Thank you Tracy for everything you did for myself and my children. My Partner would have been proud of how you dealt with everything. Although it was a very hard time for myself, Tracy helped me get through and put a smile on my face everytime I spoke or saw her in person. I was initially pleased with the funeral arrangements of my late wife by Rowland Brothers. But their customer service after the event was very poor. More than a month after the cremation I had to call them regards the ashes. After I collected the ashes I realised they had failed to put them in the casket . When I called them they promised to call me back to sort out the omission . Several hours later they had still not called. So I emailed them. They have neither acknowledged my email, nor done anything about the casket. A very shabby customer service.

I contacted Rowland Brothers to discuss funeral arrangements, at that time I didn’t know who would be assigned to assist the family. I must say the Gods were looking after us😊 we were lucky enough to be looked after by the Professional Excellent Competent Tracy, always available, if Tracy was ever unsure she would check first, then pass on the advice. Rowland brothers in Croydon have given our family an exceptional service throughout. They have been thoughtful and comforting from beginning. It is my first time planning a funeral and the team have supported me throughout and given my grandma a day fit for a queen and what she truly deserves. Absolutely excellent service. From the initial phone call to them during the night, through till after the funeral, nothing has seemed to be too much trouble for them. Angelia (New Addington) put up with everything we threw at her, but she sat, she listened and most of all never was anything brushed aside, if there was something that couldn't be done (due to covid) you knew that she would have tried her hardest to make it happen if she could. Whilst Angelia was our main go-to person and arranger, we all owe a big thank you to Dave, Tony and the other drivers, professional throughout, always treated like a grieving friend, not just as a customer. Once again to all the staff, we as a family THANK YOU..

I can not thank the team at Rowland Brothers enough for the wonderful, caring and sensitive way in which they helped lay our Mum to rest. They honestly couldn't have done more to make the process as stress-free as possible. Planning leading up to the day was faultless and the day itself went smoothly and without incident, even the sun came out! We had a horse-drawn hearse for Mum's final journey and the team were so respectful of her and of us. Rob led the funeral procession and he showed such great respect for Mum, and as we said our final goodbyes at her graveside Rob presented us with a beautiful personalised keepsake folder with a beautiful framed photo of Mum. Honestly, it was such a lovely gesture and we'll never forget it. Thank you to the whole Rowlands team, but special thanks to Carly, Rob and John for helping to make our final goodbye to Mum beautifully calm, graceful and dignified.

If there were more stars.... I would definitely give them. We sadly lost my father last month and even though he was a grand age of 91, it is something no-one is ever truly prepared for. In addition, being of a Greek Orthodox background there was so much to consider from a religious perspective. What can I say, Rowland Bros proved to be kind, caring, understanding, totally organised beyond expectations and professional throughout. We were fortunate to have Tracey looking after us and she proved to be an absolute pleasure to deal with. My sister and I were all over the place on occasions but she kept us grounded and on course guiding us throughout the whole process but most of all, what amazing knowledge they had in dealing with Greek Orthodox funeral/burials even down to a fantastic information sheet. On the day, our Conductor, Joe, and his team were superb, guiding us appropriately and supporting our priest throughout. In addition, so kind and gentle towards our 90 year old mother and all our attendees. There are no words enough to express our gratitude for the support they gave us in making the day and whole process run so smoothly. Tracey you are an asset to the organisation and Joe, an exceptional young man with grace and poise. Heartfelt thanks to you all.

I really haven’t got the words to express how thoughtful and kind they all were. They looked after my loved one with the upmost care and respect. Everything went so smoothly, it did help that my loved one had a funeral plan but nothing was too much trouble. Rowland Brothers (Whitehorse Rd, Croydon) have provided a wonderful, outstanding and professional service throughout an extremely difficult year. In February we lost our father and Rowland Brothers made everything go smoothly and professionally, with great dignity and care. Yesterday only 5 months afterwards, we had to say goodbye to our dear mother, and Rowland Brothers were always going to be the only choice. Again the dignified, caring service provided was amazing at such a difficult time. A special mention also to the wonderful carriage horses and their driver and assistants. The horses were truly magnificent and made the day very special.

In May 2020, I was suddenly faced with my ex-hubby's death. Its the most confusing time when you have never experienced planning a funeral & worse, when someone dies with nothing in place. Rowland Brothers have provided an incredibly professional and supportive service following the death of my father. Sally was efficient whilst also sympathetic when answering my many questions, and she organized a fitting funeral for Dad. We chose to have a minister present, and Sally arranged for Phil Robinson to carry out the service, which was truly beautiful, and one which I know dad would have wanted.

Last week we was in the awful situation with our father passing suddenly. Receiving conflicting advice from the GP and ambulance service we was left in a difficult situation obtaining his death certificate. I chose rowlands brothers as they had the best google reviews and I can see now why they do. The whole team have been fantastic, especially Sophie-the funeral director. Sophie helped my brother with several complex situations and was very efficient and on the ball at all times. They all make you feel at ease and are very professional.
