I honestly don’t have enough words to thank Roland Brothers, especially Bibi, for everything they did for me and my mum during one of the most heartbreaking times of my life.

Losing my mum was devastating, and having to arrange for her to be repatriated back home to Grenada was something I never imagined I would have to go through. I was overwhelmed with grief and didn’t know where to begin. But from the very first conversation with Bibi, I felt that my mum was in safe and caring hands.

Bibi showed me so much kindness, empathy and genuine compassion. She didn’t make me feel like I was just arranging a service — she treated my mum with dignity, respect and the tenderness she deserved. That meant more to me than I can ever put into words.

The whole process was taken completely out of my hands. Roland Brothers dealt with everything for me, allowing me to focus on grieving and being with my family rather than worrying about paperwork, arrangements and logistics. They kept me informed every step of the way, including letting me know when my mum had left the UK and when she had arrived safely in Grenada. Those calls and updates gave me such comfort at a time when I was emotionally exhausted.

Knowing that my mum was being cared for and that she was making her final journey home safely gave me a sense of peace when I needed it most.

The service was truly fantastic from beginning to end. Professional, compassionate, caring and completely reassuring. And considering the exceptional level of service we received, the price was also excellent and very reasonable.

I will forever be grateful to Bibi and everyone at Roland Brothers for the way they looked after my mum and supported me through such an incredibly painful time. You took away so much of the worry and gave me the space to grieve.

Thank you for bringing my mum home to Grenada with the dignity, respect and care she deserved. I will never forget your kindness. ❤️🇬🇩

I sent a picture of my dad's forever bed to Sarah requested mum's be the same and it was perfect which I really appreciated. From the start when we met Carly, Rowland Brothers have been so supportive and helpful with our unexpected funeral arramgements. Carly took time to explain their services and costs and she was very helpful in making the whole affair personalised to our loved ones taste. The coffin bearers wore ties reflecting her favourite colours which was a nice touch. Tony and all the staff were extremely professional, caring and compassionate on the day. Thank you Rowland Brothers for making a difficult and emotional time a little easier to bear.

I wish to say a very big thank you, to Rowland. Brothers, who arranged my mums funeral yesterday (5.3.25). The moment we booked the appointment all the way through to the end of the funeral, the staff were professional and caring. We had used Rowland brothers ten years previously for my Dads funeral and I’m pleased to say that their standards remain as high as ever. At a time when I felt so upset, Rowland brothers were able to take away all the stress that usually comes with organising a funeral. I really cannot recommend them enough.

After my mother's recent death, Rowlands transported her body from her flat to their premises, and worked with me to arrange and conduct her funeral. All involved acted with thoughtfulness, care and sensitivity at all stages.

The team who transported my mother's body clearly and helpfully explained in advance what would be involved, made sure I was happy with that before doing anything, checked the situation in my mother's flat before starting work, and ensured everything in the flat was left neat and in good order when they departed. They showed great sensitivity and patience when some people arrived part-way through, wanting to pay their last respects, giving them time and privacy to do so. All this took the stress out of this inevitably emotional occasion, and both I and others present were struck by the dignity and respect with which it was all done.

The funeral arranger and the team on the day of the funeral also showed professionalism, understanding and helpfulness throughout, both in person and in correspondence. They explained everything carefully, always made sure we understood what options there were, asked what we wanted without any pressure to choose one course over another, and ensured we knew exactly what would happen and when, and the team at the funeral were dignified and caring. This all made both the funeral and the period before and after it, as easy to cope with as possible.

I am happy to recommend Rowlands to others.

Rowland Brothers recently helped arrange and direct two of my family's loved ones funerals and memorial services. From start to finish, I found them extremely caring, sensitive and respectful. The celebrants they provided (Father Sam and Heather) were absolutely wonderful and many people who attended, also commented on how well and lovely they delivered both services. Adam was our director who led on the day and was extremely accommodating, understanding and patient. I felt very looked after and supported throughout. Aylish was our arranger who we also found extremely helpful, supportive and patient, as we constantly changed our minds. My Soulmate sadly passed away abroad in December 2021. Rowland Brothers Funeral Directors were appointed to handle the repatriation and funeral service here in London.
All the staff involved were professional from beginning to end. Tracy Taylor showed empathy, care and compassion from beginning to end and produced a one of a kind funeral programme, which was tailored exactly how I wished it to be representing the person my soulmate was.
The mortician Hannah did a fantastic job in dressing my soulmate. It was an emotionally overwhelming experience and Tracy and Hannah
definitely helped to ease some of the pain still felt. I can't thank the staff enough for their support during what I can only describe as a very sad time for the entire family. The receptionist whose name has slipped my mind "sorry" always had a welcoming smile and made me laugh on several occasions lightning the heaviness I was feeling. The Pallbearers were excellent on the day of the funeral led by Scott who did a fantastic job.

I can’t thank Rowland Brothers, Croydon enough. They are a fabulous team from Anthea at reception, Carly our organiser and Neil the Forces adviser. They were really efficient and caring, which really helps when you have no idea of what to do. I must also mention the two guys that came at 2am to pick my Mum up and of course the team on the day, both were so kind and thoughtful.

All of them are extremely professional and they had thought of everything to make it all go smoothly, even down to umbrellas.
Neil had arranged a bugler to play the last post, a Union Jack and a pillow for her hat and medals, which my Mum would have loved as not only was she in the WAAFs, she died on Armistice day.
They also found us a fabulous Celebrant called Julia Hill who gave a really uplifting recount of the 99 years and 10 months my Mum had been here, that everyone said after, she made them come out smiling. That was the type of funeral I was aiming for and this fabulous team helped us achieve it. Thank you all so much.

My Aunties ashes were delivered by hand by Steve very quickly after realising they were needed soon. Steve was very gentle and did this with great sensitivity and respect. A gentleman called Neil was very helpful on the phone and did all he could to help.

I couldn't of asked for a better service, very professional, open, honest and listened. Thank you Tracy for everything you did for myself and my children. My Partner would have been proud of how you dealt with everything. Although it was a very hard time for myself, Tracy helped me get through and put a smile on my face everytime I spoke or saw her in person. On the day of the Funeral the pallbearers were also excellent. A big thank to you guys also. With emotions running high, they knew just how to diffusion any situation that occurred, leaving me to focus on the day and have the best send off.

I was initially pleased with the funeral arrangements of my late wife by Rowland Brothers. But their customer service after the event was very poor. More than a month after the cremation I had to call them regards the ashes. After I collected the ashes I realised they had failed to put them in the casket . When I called them they promised to call me back to sort out the omission . Several hours later they had still not called. So I emailed them. They have neither acknowledged my email, nor done anything about the casket. A very shabby customer service.

I contacted Rowland Brothers to discuss funeral arrangements, at that time I didn’t know who would be assigned to assist the family. I must say the Gods were looking after us😊 we were lucky enough to be looked after by the Professional Excellent Competent Tracy, always available, if Tracy was ever unsure she would check first, then pass on the advice.

Rowland brothers in Croydon have given our family an exceptional service throughout. They have been thoughtful and comforting from beginning. It is my first time planning a funeral and the team have supported me throughout and given my grandma a day fit for a queen and what she truly deserves. Absolutely excellent service. From the initial phone call to them during the night, through till after the funeral, nothing has seemed to be too much trouble for them. Angelia (New Addington) put up with everything we threw at her, but she sat, she listened and most of all never was anything brushed aside, if there was something that couldn't be done (due to covid) you knew that she would have tried her hardest to make it happen if she could. Whilst Angelia was our main go-to person and arranger, we all owe a big thank you to Dave, Tony and the other drivers, professional throughout, always treated like a grieving friend, not just as a customer.

I can not thank the team at Rowland Brothers enough for the wonderful, caring and sensitive way in which they helped lay our Mum to rest. They honestly couldn't have done more to make the process as stress-free as possible. Planning leading up to the day was faultless and the day itself went smoothly and without incident, even the sun came out! We had a horse-drawn hearse for Mum's final journey and the team were so respectful of her and of us. Rob led the funeral procession and he showed such great respect for Mum, and as we said our final goodbyes at her graveside Rob presented us with a beautiful personalised keepsake folder with a beautiful framed photo of Mum. Honestly, it was such a lovely gesture and we'll never forget it. Thank you to the whole Rowlands team, but special thanks to Carly, Rob and John for helping to make our final goodbye to Mum beautifully calm, graceful and dignified.

If there were more stars.... I would definitely give them. We sadly lost my father last month and even though he was a grand age of 91, it is something no-one is ever truly prepared for. In addition, being of a Greek Orthodox background there was so much to consider from a religious perspective. What can I say, Rowland Bros proved to be kind, caring, understanding, totally organised beyond expectations and professional throughout. We were fortunate to have Tracey looking after us and she proved to be an absolute pleasure to deal with. My sister and I were all over the place on occasions but she kept us grounded and on course guiding us throughout the whole process but most of all, what amazing knowledge they had in dealing with Greek Orthodox funeral/burials even down to a fantastic information sheet. On the day, our Conductor, Joe, and his team were superb, guiding us appropriately and supporting our priest throughout. In addition, so kind and gentle towards our 90 year old mother and all our attendees. There are no words enough to express our gratitude for the support they gave us in making the day and whole process run so smoothly. Tracey you are an asset to the organisation and Joe, an exceptional young man with grace and poise. Heartfelt thanks to you all.

I really haven’t got the words to express how thoughtful and kind they all were. They looked after my loved one with the upmost care and respect. Everything went so smoothly, it did help that my loved one had a funeral plan but nothing was too much trouble. Rowland Brothers (Whitehorse Road, Croydon) have provided a wonderful, outstanding and professional service throughout an extremely difficult year. In February we lost our father and Rowland Brothers made everything go smoothly and professionally, with great dignity and care. Yesterday only 5 months afterwards, we had to say goodbye to our dear mother, and Rowland Brothers were always going to be the only choice. Again the dignified, caring service provided was amazing at such a difficult time. A special mention also to the wonderful carriage horses and their driver and assistants. The horses were truly magnificent and made the day very special.

I am truly indebted to the staff at Rowland Brothers, Krzysztof Papierowski and especially Tracey Taylor, they both displayed amazing professionalism and support, whilst navigating a chaotic, stressful family situation to get my father, Cecil Edwards, buried. They were truly amazing in the face of adversity which I truly appreciate because it was a learning curve for us all. I would not hesitate to use the services of Rowland Brothers again in the future, but under pleasant and less stressful circumstances. Tracey is a true South London lady that will not take any prisoners, under any circumstances and I salute her for her hard work and tenacity, she did me proud! I'm sure this experience will go down in Rowland Brothers history books!

So, so impressed with how you helped in the organisation of our dad (Cecil Reid's) funeral from start to finish. Even down to ensuring that the house was safe when we leave. Can't believe how easy you made it for our family. Tracy (Taylor) you were amazing. Nothing was too small or great. What professionalism! We are so appreciative. As a result of your help and support, the day ran smoothly. The gentlemen who were present on the day were equally supportive. Last week we was in the awful situation with our father passing suddenly. Receiving conflicting advice from the GP and ambulance service we was left in a difficult situation obtaining his death certificate. I chose rowlands brothers as they had the best google reviews and I can see now why they do. The whole team have been fantastic, especially Sophie-the funeral director. Sophie helped my brother with several complex situations and was very efficient and on the ball at all times. They all make you feel at ease and are very professional. I would highly recommend them if the need ever arises. Thank you again

To the team at Rowland Brothers. On behalf of myself, my husband Rav and our close family, we would like to thank you so much for your professionalism and sensitivity in the run-up to and during the funeral of my mother-in-law, Vina Vadgama, last Friday. Through a sudden and traumatic loss, you were there at every stage of the process, handling the discovery of her body with the kind of care that will stay with us for life. A particular mention to Clare Warner, whose clear empathy will stay with us for life, and who was wonderful reassuring to see again at the funeral itself.

We are so grateful to Tony Rowland himself for calling us on a Sunday during his holiday to respond to our initial shock. Special thank you also to Emily Sharma. In order to respect Vina's religious observance, we wanted to get the funeral sorted as soon as we could, and she treated us with such professionalism and individualised care. Her understanding of the requirements of a Hindu service and her respect for the wishes of all involved were superb. These are the kinds of experiences nobody ever imagines they'll have to go through, but your reassurance and expertise during a hugely difficult time has made it so much more bearable.

Daryl came to our family home to discuss funeral arrangements with my father before he passed. The level of service we received was impeccable. Roland brothers couldn’t have done any more. From pre planning, organising cars, looking after my family and I on the day of the funeral, they really made the day go as smooth as possible.

On the two separate occasions I used Rowland Brothers of Beddington, I was consistently impressed by the care and professionalism shown by the whole team. Their service during both my Mum’s cremation and my Dad’s funeral was excellent — compassionate, caring, and carried out with real attention to detail.

A special mention goes to Charlee, whose calm guidance, kindness, and thoughtful approach made an incredibly difficult time feel more manageable. While the entire team provided outstanding support, Charlee’s dedication and sensitivity stood out and meant a great deal to us as a family.

I am truly grateful for everything Rowland Brothers of Beddington did for us.

From my very first meeting with Charlee, I knew she was the right person to look after my husband, Chris, after he passed away. As a young widow, I was facing the most difficult time of my life, and Charlee showed such genuine compassion, kindness and understanding from the very beginning.

She gently guided me through every step of the process, taking the time to really listen to what I wanted and making sure Chris was cared for exactly as I hoped. When he arrived at the chapel, the love, dignity and respect with which she looked after him meant more to me than I can ever put into words.

She recommended the wonderful Fr. Sam who conducted the most wonderful service at the crematorium, he got the tone just right. And John the director on the day also showed great kindness and professionalism.

I will always be so grateful to Charlee for everything she did for us. She made an incredibly painful experience so much easier to navigate, and I knew throughout that Chris was in the safest and most caring hands. I couldn't have wished for a more compassionate funeral director, and I will never forget her kindness.

Our care from Charlee from the beginning was outstanding - we went in without an appointment and were looked after with so much care and attention. This never changed and I doubt we would have received this from any other company. She truly is empathetic, kind and knowledgeable. The door was always open for us and I feel like we have made a friend for life. She looked after our mum in some of her darkest times and made the process much easier for us all - We truly thank her for that. We couldn't have done it without her!
Mum knew instantly that she didn't want to go through the process with anyone else.

If you are looking for a funeral directors who gets things done quickly while taking the pain on your loss seriously look no further

I cancelled my plans with a different director who could not come close to the level service Charlee and the team provided.

I planned my dad's funeral from over 300 miles away and Charlee had everything arranged within one day going above and beyond to make a horrible process bearable.

I was met on the day at the church by John who had called the day before to introduce himself and reassure me the day would go smoothly exactly as we expected and that's exactly what they delivered.

Very disappointed. Basic errors made - wrong date of death on coffin, wrong cause of death information given to coroner, wrong information given about availability of documentation. Despite multiple requests for a non religious funeral, a christian cross was left in the crematorium. I cannot recommend this organisation at all. Made a very stressful time even worse.

We were delighted with the way that everything went so smoothly before and during the funeral. David in the Purley office made the planning simple and facilitated all of the elements with great communication. Peter and his team were very professional and provided a calming presence during the funeral. Mike (the celebrant) made the service flow with compassion and obvious expertise. Many of the attendees have mentioned what a success it was and how it gave Dad a beautiful send off.

Her help and advice was invaluable and the whole period of time dealing with Rowlands was exceptional. I would recommend Rowlands Purley 100%.

When I die I would like Rowlands to handle my funeral and I’m not even local! Everything was done with the utmost care and understanding. Jan and Scott make the most wonderful team. Nothing was too much trouble, from being able to attend the chapel of rest out of hours to being able to sit in the hearse and even carry the coffin. To be offered such warmth at such a difficult time was a kindness I’ll not forget. Whilst I’ve luckily only had one other experience of funeral homes this surpassed my expectations from the moment I called to make enquiries. Jan was so helpful and even told me that should I decide to go elsewhere to just call her back if any advice was needed. You just don’t get customer service on that level these days. The chapel is restful and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating even down to introducing me to Scott who was to be in charge on the day of the funeral so that there was a feeling of continuity. Thank you both so very much.

I lost my amazing husband suddenly and jan and the team at purley were amazing, they took great care of me and him and I was able to sit with him for the last two days before the funeral which was so important for me and they kept me going in tea. All my wishes for his funeral were carried out beautifully and the day although overwhelming with over 170 people on a very hot day he got the send off he would have been so proud of .
Thanks again and I will be going in to collect his ashes and my ring in a week or so and catch up with the team .

Rowland Brothers were recommended to us and I’m so glad they were. We used there Coulsdon branch and Judi who looked after us was so kind at what was a very emotional time having to arrange my dear mums funeral. Nothing was to much trouble and she guided us through what was needed and little suggestions to make it special. The recommendation of Karen as our celebrant was perfect.On the actual day of the funeral I received a phone call from the undertaker explaining what would be happening. We used the Warlingham branch of Rowland brothers in June 2026 for our Mums funeral. From the moment we first called them after our Mums passing they were always so kind and helpful. Courtney made the whole funeral planning process very easy in what was a very difficult time. David and all his team at Rowland brothers helped give my Mum the best celebration of life at Botley hill farm with whom they have a partnership with, the location was perfect for our Mums day and everything went perfectly as did her cremation service at Beckenham crematorium a couple of days later. If you unfortunately need to use the services of a funeral directors I would highly recommend Warlingham Rowland Brothers

From the moment we walked through the door in the Warlingham until the day of the funeral, the service we received from RB was impeccable. Courtney and Maya were outstanding throughout, they made everything hassle free for us and I can't thank them enough. On the day of the funeral, Joe and his team were also ever so caring, patient and helpful, again making everything run smoothly on the day. The added touch of the personalised folder at the end which contained the funeral service booklet and pockets for messages, came as a surprise and shows how thoughtful RB are. Additionally the printed framed photo for my husband was also a great touch and added to the overall experience. Thank you to everyone at RB for an amazing service and I will surely be recommending you to others. Absolute first class service!

Rowland Brothers have conducted three funerals for close family the latest being for my very dear sister this year. I cannot fault their care and compassion from their lovely receptionist to Tracey who helped me with the funeral arrangements and with making a beautiful memorial service for Pamela and also the kind team lead by the excellent Robert who made everything go smoothly on the day. Lastly they have an aftercare service checking that you are coping ok. Thank you all.

From the beginning till even. After the funeral the staff have been nothing but supportive, caring and amazing, making every detail perfect for my dad and I would highly recommend new addington branch Jackie and Tony was absolutely the best throughout this sad time and the team that helped to support us on the day bringing dad to the cremation, all the Rowland workers are amazing and also thank you to beauliau for the amazing support and service to my family and her guidance when taking dad on his finally journey, wouldn’t have wanted anyone else x
